Bacardi Blackheart Pt.1

The brute had just recently returned to his daughters lands.In his youngest years he and his first mate were the ones who took the lands as theirs and started their pride and family together.They had a healthy boy the first time and then a beautiful health girl the second time.He was a good father and spent much time with both of his cubs teaching them lessons that would help them prevail in life when they got older.But as time progressed he and his mate began having troubles.She felt they had become mated to young and she realizes that she was not ready to be this serious or this settled down in her life.He tried to make her see that there was no turning back now she was a queen and many looked up to her and needed her.And she was a mother,there was no way to change that.


As he tried to reason with her she would only get angrier and push him away more.After several weeks he had lost hope in saving his relationship and knew eventually it would end but this scared him.Not because of the fact they would no longer be but because he didn't know how it would affect his children.His son was almost a year old and his daughter about 6 months.He thought his son would be able to understand but he knew his daughter would have a hard time.He knew in his heart that he would have to tell his children what was going on and he had planned to the very next day.

His plans however changed the next morning when he was awaken in a rude manner by his mate.She told him that she wanted him to leave that she needed time to herself with their cubs.She agreed to stay and remain as queen and take care of the lands and pride but that he had to go.He tried his best to explain to her that it wasn't fair to him to make him leave his children but she refused to hear it.She told him she knew he loved her and their children but that she just needed her own time.Finally he gave up and agreed to return to his original home land where they both grew up.She told him if she wanted him to return she would come to get him but if she did not come for him after 6 months that he needed to move on with his life and start a new one,without her.So that night he tried to explain to his cubs that he had to leave for a while but he was unable to explain why it hurt him to much to speak of it.He promised his children that he would return one day for them.That night he left and returned to his original pride who gladly took him back in.On arrival he reunited with his cubhood best friend and told her everything that had happened.She was shocked that his mate had been like this to him and every day she was there for him making sure he was okay and that he was holding himself together.

He waited for 10 months for his mate to come and get him and she never did.And after 11 months of being their his best friend confessed she had fallen in love with him and wanted him to be her king and run the kingdom with her.He was unsure of how to handle this when he first heard her words.He had to admit that she was a beautiful lioness and that he too had developed feelings for her but he felt deep down that his heart still truly belonged to the lioness he had first mated with and the mother to his 2 children who he had still yet to see since he left.He told her that he needed time to think about it and she gave him a warm smile and agreed that he could take as long as he needed that she would wait for him.After almost a week he asked her to take a night stroll with him and as they walked through the lands they had grown up in he told her that he too had developed feelings for her and that he would be honored to be her mate.He thought he had finally let go of his original love.After a few months of being together the pride held the ceremony to announce him and her as the new King and Queen of the Liquor Pridelands.Everything seemed to be getting better for him and he truly had fallen in love with his best friend but a month later she announced to him that she was pregnant and everything changed.He started to think about his older children and their mother and old feelings flooded his head.He was happy that he was going to be a father again but he was feeling freaked out.He told his mate that he needed a few days,that he needed to see his children.She understood and allowed him to go and see them without any argument.

After 2 days of traveling he found himself in the home he had created.He started feeling a twinge of anger wash over him knowing how hard he had worked to create this pride and how hard he had tried to be there for his cubs to be forced away by a lioness that had supposedly loved him.He strolled up to the den entrance and was head to head with his first love within seconds.She was not happy to see him. "I thought I told you if I didn't come back for you to move on?" She had said to him with an angry and irritated tone.He sighed and nodded "You did.And I did move on.I am now the king of our cubhood pride.I am now mates with Kahlua and we are expecting a cub now." He could see the shock and what looked like slight hurt in her eyes but she soon shook it off as she smiled but to him it looked like a forced smile. "Oh well congratulations then.I am happy for you.I always thought Kahlua had eyes for you when we were growing up.But,if you are her mate and the king of the pride now.Why are you here?" He shrugged and sat down in front of her. "The other night when she told me she was pregnant it made me think of Sui and Abani.I had to come and see them.I promised them I would come back for them and it has been over a year and I haven't been back.I want to see them so that they know that I am still here for them and that I always will be." She looked at him sternly for a moment.The way she looked made him think she would refuse to let him see them but she soon sighed and nodded. "You can see and talk to Abani if you wish.She has grown into quite the beautiful young lioness but...Sui has gone missing.No one can find him.I want to think he left in search of you but I can't say for sure that is what happened.You may stay here for tonight so that you can spend time with her but please.I ask that you return to your mate tomorrow."

With those words she turned and went back in to the den and left him there with the thoughts and worries about his son.He sighed and turned leaving the den and headed down to the water hole where he found his daughter she really had turned in to a beautiful lioness.She seemed happy to see him and they spent the entire night talking and spending time together.She said she understood when he told her why he had left and that she hoped she could visit him and his mate one day soon and meet her newly expectant brother or sister.That night they both laid next to the water hole sleeping soundly but as morning came he was awaken by a horrible sound.The screams of his ex mate rang through the air.He looked around and couldn't find Abani anywhere.He instantly ran towards the screams but only to see his ex mate being brutally killed by an unknown lion.He had not been able to get to them in time.He walked over to her lifeless body as the male scurried away before he could get close enough to harm him.Tears stung his eyes seeing her laying there covered in blood.He growled angrily and soon moved her body and buried it so that no one would find it.He returned to the pride den in search of Abani to tell her the sad news but only found a few pride members.He told them what had happened and they all seemed to sit in shock.He asked if they had seen his daughter and they all said no.He looked around the entire lands that day and couldn't find her and as the sun started to set he knew he would have to return home to his mate.

When he got back home he told his mate what had happened and then laid down in the back of the den where he stayed for days not speaking to anyone or even so much as eating.After 5 days of this he finally pulled himself together and Kahlua understood he had been traumatized by the incident and forgave him easily.After that he started to be a good king and mate again but the day his daughter was born he snapped.He grew angry saying that he was not handing down the throne to a female.Kahlua was shocked at his sudden rage and didn't understand what was going on.He had told her that if they had a girl or a boy he would be happy and love them dearly but now he was angry because they had a daughter.As their daughter whom was named Tequila grew up he refused to have much to do with her and there were nights that she would come in crying saying that he had beaten her.He didn't understand why she was saying these things when he knew he had not even been around her.Kahlua even said he was doing it but he had no memories of hurting her or being around her at the times spoken.One Tequila was older and came into her first heat cycle he was told that he had done the most awful thing to her and that she had left the pride.He couldn't believe the words coming from his mates mouth.He was never a violent lion and would never do things to hurt anyone,especially his own blood.He did love his daughter even if he didn't show it.After a few months they had another cub a son.The stories of his "hittings" stopped and he took time with his son and became the loving lion he always was.Kahlua didn't understand why he had been so cruel but she thought that he was scared of a female becoming like his ex mate and he didn't want it to happen.After a few months however the anger of their daughter not being there struck her to hard and she told him she didn't want to be with him anymore and she wanted him gone from the lands.He was in shock but didn't argue with her.She was the rightful queen and it was her decision over his as to what happened.

So he left.He returned to the only place he could think of.The land he had first made his home.When he arrived he found his daughter Abani as the queen and was happy for her and in awe at how beautiful she had become but she was not happy to see him.She said he abandoned them and left them there and that because of him leaving her mother was killed because she had no male to protect her from any rouge outsiders.He was not understanding why she didn't seem to remember the night he visited and explained things to her.The only thing he could think of was that something had happened to her that day and her memory and the way she thought of things had been manipulated.Upon his arrival there he found his son Sui and his other daughter Tequila.Before speaking to Tequila though he met with the medicine lioness who told him that he had been having blackouts of what had happened to his ex mate and having a female cub and brought back the memories for reasons unknown.She made him take some herbs to knock out the memories and the blackout spells.She told him he would remember that his ex mate had been killed and that he had seen it happen but it wouldn't be vivid memories.

After he had spoken with the medicine lioness he found Tequila and explained things to her.He was happy to know that she understood and didn't blame him for anything nor did she hold a grudge towards him.She accepted him back in to her life and now they have a good bond and relationship.Though Abani has not yet been as forgiving or understanding but he knows he can't lose faith in her or his son.He now lives every day with the pride in hopes things will get better between them.He smiled to himself as he lay there thinking about everything and how things had become quite good for him.He closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep but woke a few hours later.He looked around seeing the pride was all asleep and sighed as he made his way out of the den and down into the lands.

He looked up at the sky as the morning sun was rising high into the sky and knew that shortly the pride would be up and moving so he had to enjoy a break while he could.As he got down to the water hole he lowered himself lapping up the cool refreshing water.When he lifted his cranium he noticed an unfamiliar feline wandering up close from the corner of his eyes.He saw that they tried to hide themselves and smirked to himself as he leaned down taking yet another drink from the water and then he stretched and sat up straight as he spoke out.His voice was deep but gentle.
      "You don't have to hide yourself.I won't harm you.I am just getting some air before the pride wakes up and enjoying some water."
